✍️

Assalamu Alaikum!
My name is Sajid, and I came to Dubai from Pakistan to find a better future. I know many people dream about working in the UAE but don’t know where to start.

So today, I’m sharing everything you need to know, based on my own journey. I’ve collected all the correct, updated information in one place to save your time and energy.

Let’s get into it.

1. 🎫 Enter Dubai on a Visit Visa

You can start your job search by coming on a visit visa (30–60 days). It gives you enough time to explore and attend interviews.

Important: Never overstay. Keep your visa legal.

2. 📱 Get a Free SIM Card at the Airport

As soon as you land in Dubai, get a free SIM card from the airport counters. You’ll need it to:

  • Set up WhatsApp
  • Apply for jobs
  • Contact companies

3. 💼 Register on Trusted Job Portals

I personally used these websites, and they work great:

  • Dubizzle.com
  • Indeed.ae
  • GulfTalent.com
  • Bayt.com
  • Naukrigulf.com

Create a strong profile and upload your UAE-style CV.

4. 📄 Create a Professional CV (Dubai Format)

In Dubai, your CV must be:

  • 1–2 pages max
  • With a recent photo
  • UAE number & location
  • Skills in bullet points
  • Professionally designed

Pro tip: Use Canva or ChatGPT to polish your CV layout.

5. 🔎 Research Companies Before Applying

Don’t waste time applying blindly. I searched company names on:

  • Google Business
  • Google Maps

This way, I could:

  • Read reviews
  • Find WhatsApp numbers
  • Visit their office directly
  • Ask: “Is job vacancy still available?”

This saves a lot of time and helps avoid scams.

6. 🚶 Walk-In Interviews (Real Opportunity)

Keep checking Dubizzle’s “Walk-In Interview” section. Go early, dress smart, and take printed CVs.

Even if one company rejects you, the next might hire you. Stay patient!

7. 🛡️ Apply for UAE Job Loss Insurance (After You’re Hired)

If you get a job and visa, register for job loss insurance (Involuntary Loss of Employment – ILOE).
If your boss cancels your visa without a reason, the UAE government gives you monthly support.

It’s cheap (AED 5-10/month) and easy to register online.

8. 🛴 Get an E-Scooter or Public Transport Nol Card

Transport is expensive. I bought a used e-scooter and got a free online scooter license. You can also get a Nol Card for buses and the metro.

This helps with going to interviews and saves money.

9. 🤖 Use ChatGPT to Your Advantage

I used ChatGPT to:

  • Create CVs
  • Write cover letters
  • Prepare for interviews
  • Plan blogs like this one!

This AI tool helps job seekers shine in a competitive market.

✅ Conclusion: Your Future in Dubai Starts Now

Finding a job in Dubai is not impossible — it just needs planning and smart steps.
I’m Sajid, and I hope my journey helps you build yours.
